Undervoltage and Overvoltage Protection Functions of Intelligent Pump Controller
2019/8/12 10:13:54

1. What are the underpressure and overpressure of intelligent pumps?

All electrical equipment has a rated voltage, but in practice it is not guaranteed to work under the rated voltage. It is close to the rated voltage range and generally requires (+15%). Protect electrical equipment and process quality, if the voltage is below - 15%, it is "under-voltage". When the working voltage is lower than the voltage, the protective action will be taken and the power supply will be cut off. Conversely, if the voltage exceeds 15%, the voltage is "overvoltage". Overvoltage is a non-fatal failure of electrical equipment.

2. What are the consequences of intelligent pumps under underpressure and overpressure?

The insulation of motor is mainly realized by insulating material, and the size of insulation is limited by geometric space. When the motor exceeds the insulation strength and voltage value of electrical appliances, it is easy to cause insulation breakdown. Electrical appliances can be heated, punctured, burned, ignited and even cause accidents. When the voltage is too low, the output torque of the motor is reduced by one square time. It may cause motor stall, overheating and even burns. Therefore, the working voltage range of the motor is very narrow, and overvoltage and undervoltage protection must be installed.

3. When the intelligent pump is under-voltage protection and over-pressure protection, how does the dominant pump controller protect the operation of the pump?

In the dominant controller, when the actual operating voltage is lower or higher than the calibration voltage, the pump is under-voltage/over-voltage protection. In this case, the controller will try to restart the pump every 5 minutes (set time) until the line voltage returns to normal.
